Hello! I am Donna Costantino and I am running for Town Council because East Greenwich is at a pivotal moment.

Families are facing a second consecutive year of residential property tax increases well above the state's 4% tax levy cap (6.79% for this fiscal year), while town spending continues to outpace revenues. Our current town leadership failed to secure $11 million in State of Rhode Island "Pay As You Go" funding, and several major infrastructure and facility decisions—including the future of Eldredge School following its anticipated decommissioning in 2027—remain unresolved.

In addition, residents are concerned about the cumulative impact of recent land use and development decisions. These decisions are reshaping the character of our neighborhoods, increasing pressure on our infrastructure and affecting the quality of life that has long made East Greenwich a desirable place in which to live and raise a family.

My goal is to help ensure that East Greenwich is prepared to meet the challenges ahead through effective governance, thoughtful planning, and fiscally responsible leadership. We must preserve our historic charm and rural character, invest wisely in infrastructure and essential public services, and foster a strong local economy that supports both residents and businesses. By balancing responsible growth with careful stewardship of taxpayer dollars, we can keep East Greenwich a vibrant and welcoming community where families, businesses, and future generations can thrive.

I have the experience and skills needed to meet the challenges facing our town. I know how to navigate the complexities of municipal and state government, and I have a proven track record within state government for getting things done.
